Remedial Response Specialist
 

A remedial response specialist works with local, state, and federal officials to clean up abandoned industrial sites which have been contaminated due to improper storage of deserted waste or severe degradation of the surrounding environment from past industrial operations. These factors often present long term threats to local human and environmental health.

Responsibilities Often Include:
• Coordinating clean up efforts
• Designing a inclusive environmental restoration plan
• Ensuring proper protocol is followed
• Reporting to local, state and federal official
• Monitoring restoration efforts
